Thank you to everyone who attended the Association for Community Design annual conference in June. ACD40’s theme, CommUNITY, sought to ignite conversations about the different models of practice that the field of community-engaged design uses to operate successfully. We envisioned a conference that would connect people from across the country who are working in and around public interest practices.

Jennifer Furtney is the Operations Administrative Assistant for buildingcommunityWORKSHOP. She brings over 15 years of executive and administrative assistance experience to [bc], where she assists in the day-to-day operations for all four of [bc]’s offices.

She leads the behind the scenes efforts at [bc] to help staff and fellows stay organized and accomplish their work. Her administrative expertise ensures that all of the offices stay in working order. With a background in art history, Jennifer also continues to work in filmmaking as a producer.

Born and raised in Oak Cliff , she lives in the Western Heights neighborhood of Dallas with her family and 5 dogs.
